Our Week l 4.22.2012 - 4.28.2013

Another fun and busy week. More colds for the kids (and me this time), more teeth for Aislinn (she's up to 3!) and less sleep for me. For those who wonder if we'll be having more kids any time soon (I feel like it has come up a lot lately), let me just say this: NO! I think we need to get all of Aislinn's teeth in and build up her immune system before we contemplate adding to the family. ;)  Ronan was Aislinn's current age when we got  pregnant and looking back I wonder if we were crazy. Maybe so, maybe not...after all it was planned...but I think we'd be crazy to do it again. So for now we'll enjoy the two insanely cute kiddos we have and wait and see what the Lord has in store for this family. :)

In other news...We are planning to list our home soon! We are slowly chipping away at our To-Do-Before-We-List List. First box packed.

Ronan gets very little iphone time, but the one app we love is Endless Alphabet. It is seriously so awesome. It teaches letters, the sounds of letters, spelling and the meaning of words. And is very entertaining. Win-win!

We spent Wednesday on the lake with  family. I'm beyond excited that it was warm enough to even consider going out on the lake. Crystal caught a good-size fish which someone "accidentally" let go of before I got a picture of Ronan petting it. He wasn't scared at all, it was awesome!

Meanwhile, Aislinn took a great nap on the boat.

One of my new favorite pictures

don't you love that hat? kept it on the entire day

They were both totally sacked by the time we got home.

Thursday and Friday were gorgeous so we spent most of our time outside. If we do end up moving this summer, I have no idea how I'm going to keep myself inside packing when it's so nice outside. :)

Another great hat. I'm so thrilled Aislinn can finally wear this hat we were given at her baby shower.

Look at those teeth!

Aislinn has found her voice and her inner stubbornness. They often come out at mealtime. :) Thursday evening she was DONE with her dinner and would not take a single bite more. From me. Ronan came over to feed her and she ate all of her food plus some. Stinker.

Friday we ran (yes, I ran!) to the park for a playdate and then later met up with Patrick downtown for a picnic dinner. It was the perfect way to end a tiresome week.

This is the cheeseball grin I get everytime I get out my phone

She looks a little worried, but she actually LOVES being tossed in the air

love them

always jumping off of something these days. always a blur of motion
Saturday we got to spend the day with family celebrating my brother's birthday. We went to Cat Tales for the first time ever and it was pretty cool. I was amazed at how many tigers they have and they even have a lion and a bear. The little guys had a great time. I'm not sure if Ais even knew what was going on, she was half asleep through the whole thing. I took a ton of photos, but they're still on my camera so I stole these from my mom. :)

And who wouldn't want to end the weekend with a good ol' fashioned box-slide? :)

Our Week l 4.15 - 4.21

This week was insane. And fun. And so social. Sometimes we lose our minds and overbook our schedule, but it's always good times. This week we had at least 2, if not 3 things booked each day. Wow. We got to catch up with lots of great people and eat lots of yummy food. :)

Our kids are such hams.

Mama needed a break so my friend Lightening came to the rescue ;)
I hope I'm not the only mom who multi-tasks during bath time. I'm going to guess it's pretty common. The kiddos get an extra long bath/playtime and I clean the bathroom. :)

We passed on one of Ronan's favorite toys from his first birthday. Ais LOVES it. It's always the simplest things that make them so happy. It doesn't hurt that it makes a lot of noise too. :)

We have some friends that have boys each five months older than Ro and Ais. The two older boys get along so well and have so much fun together. They also have a hot tub so after dinner Wednesday night all the guys jumped in. Ronan has apparently forgotten his fear/dislike of getting water in his eyes because he just kept going and then popping up, thinking it was the greatest thing ever. His new-found boldness means that his fear has been transferred to me...time to get him in swimming lessons.

Someday Ais will want to be with the big kids, but for now she's happy to have some one-on-one time with mom. :)

Super happy.

First time in the swings for Aislinn! We are learning that everything Ronan likes, dislikes, reacts to, etc. is completely opposite with Aislinn. We had always heard it could be this way, but it is so interesting to experience. Ronan was so afraid of the swings his first time (he's finally warming up to them) and Aislinn just loves them. She seems to be introverted yet more daring while Ronan is extroverted but contemplative when it comes to new activities.

We ran to the grocery store Friday before having friends over. I was behind schedule, but the grocery store can be so fun with a two year old so we took our time. Ro got to walk by the cart for the first time and he discovered these awesome letters in the baby aisle. Seriously, Patrick and I had never even noticed them before. He seriously went back and forth 5 times pointing out each letter and getting so excited when he recognized one. (He is very into his letters right now). I love new adventures. :)

Some quality Daddy and Ais time. She's going after a banana - one of her very favorite foods and one that Ro still hardly touches.

A definite highlight of the week was going to a dear friends wedding at Barrister Winery. We hired a babysitter for the first time! We had so much fun celebrating their marriage, catching up with friends, drinking wine and dancing. So much fun.

Wrapping up the week with a chilly family walk. :)
