Ais Update 6/9

We are tremendously excited that Aislinn was moved out of PICU today. This is going to sound really strange, but I kind of miss it. Of course, I don't miss the reasons why we were there and I'm ecstatic that our baby girl is on the mend, but PICU and the awesome staff was our home for the past 2 weeks. We went through some pretty intense stuff over there. Lots to process...maybe...if there's ever time...

I'm glad I took some photos during our morning visit because when we came back from lunch she had already been moved! I wish I had witnessed the transport because it was a very exciting moment!

all 10 toes free and clear

always keeping eyes on momma

she was totally unplugged, no more monitoring!

loves having those toes kissed

first time daddy got to hold her!
We got to spend a little time with Ro and lunch.

what a tantrum currently looks like

loves his big boy back pack

We took Ronan to visit Ais in her new room. After ample time with the new toys and cars in the Peds Oncology unit, he had a good visit with her. We got some priceless videos of the two of them playing and laughing together. It was an amazing family time, pretty emotional to watch them having fun together again.

After awhile it was clear Ronan was ready for bed...The boys went home for bed and the girls stayed together in the hospital room. I got to rock Ais to sleep and snuggle her sweetness for a few hours. It was good for my soul. :)

Praises for Today
-Aislinn moved out of PICU!!!!!!!!!
-she is doing so well, progressing in all areas. She almost seems like a different girl at the end of the day than she did at the beginning of the day...that is how much she improves each day.Tonight she sat up with very little support, had good head control, "danced" (shook her head side to side), clapped and laughed like crazy with Ronan
-the effects of the withdrawal process are diminished, she seems to be in a lot less pain today

Prayers
-now it is only a matter of time before we can go home. Pray that Aislinn continues to progress so that we might make it home before this weekend
-now that Aislinn is out of PICU, I will be spending even more time at the hospital. Ronan has no concept that this is a good thing, just that mommy is gone more. Please keep him in your prayers
